the December in which I am half-dead // a 2016 monthly wrap-up post

This month, I have learnt two lessons: 1) Holidays do not equate to more reading time, especially when you’re going overseas and this thing called motion sickness gets in your way, or when you have the sudden urge to rewatch a series. 2) However, due to these things called clearance sales and exchange rates (and the fact that you actually money to spend), you buy more books!! Even if they’re probably going to end up being ornaments on your bookshelf…

(most links lead to my review of the book… though some may be incomplete)

  • Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
  • Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
  • You’re Never Weird On The Internet by Felicia Day
  • We Never Asked For Wings by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
  • False Hearts (False Hearts #1) by Laura Lam
  • The Amazing Book is Not on Fire by Dan Howell, Phil Lester
  • Wonder by R.J. Palacio
  • Liars, Inc by Paula Stokes
  • Look Who’s Back by Timur Vermes
  • A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston (the interior has definitely seen better days but cover was simply too gorgeous to resist and it’s pretty cheap for a hardcover, though albeit heavy…)

In the mail:

  • The Child Thief by Brom

Blog happenings

A real quick monthly wrap-up post this time coz I’m planning to do another one soon to wrap-up the entire year and maybe another New Year related one?
